APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #16-0047 FOR OFFICE AND CLASSROOM SUPPLIES - WAREHOUSE
Description
Bids to provide 'Office and Classroom Supplies - Warehouse' were received from twelve vendors on January 28, 2016. The bids of AFP Industries, Inc., Canadian HIP Industries, National Art & School Supplies, Pyramid School Products, School Specialty, Inc., Smith Office & Computer Supply, Standard Stationery Supply Company, and Tampa Envelope were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. Funds for these purchases are contained in the operating budgets of the schools and departments.
Recommendation
That the bids of AFP Industries, Inc., Canadian HIP Industries, National Art & School Supplies, Pyramid School Products, School Specialty, Inc., Smith Office & Computer Supply, Standard Stationery Supply Company, and Tampa Envelope, to provide 'Office and Classroom Supplies - Warehouse' in an amount not to exceed $350,000.00, be approved as presented.
